Birding by Ear Hike: Upper Hulls Gulch

Yellow Warbler. Photo by Mick Thomson.

Join us as we hike along Upper Hulls Gulch Interpretive Trail listening to our resident birds as well as our spring migrants. Be prepared to hike up to 4 miles over narrow rocky and sandy trails above a canyon as we descend down to the creek (hiking into the sun - a hat with a brim is recommended). We will be hiking uphill on the return to our cars. Expect cooler and shady conditions in the canyon in the morning and hot exposed conditions on the way out. Bring water.

We will be focusing on our spring migrants such as Warbling Vireos, Yellow-breasted Chats, Lazuli Buntings, Yellow Warblers as well as our resident Spotted Towhees, Song Sparrows, etc.

Registration is required and limited to current members. Join or renew your membership here.
