Golden Eagle Audubon Society is a sponsor of the Sagebrush-Steppe Chapter along with the Idaho Fish and Game MK Nature Center and Bogus Basin. We love helping to educate Master Naturalists and we provide many volunteer opportunities.

The Idaho Master Naturalist Program aims to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers to actively work toward stewardship of Idaho’s natural environment. Any adult who enjoys nature and is interested in learning more can become a Master Naturalist.

Master Naturalists receive 40 hours of education and earn certification by volunteering 40 hours of their time over the course of a year. Idaho Master Naturalists volunteer by leading field trips, growing and planting native plants, educating the public—the list is endless!

Registration for the 2025 class opens on November 1 at 8 am. Classes start on Wednesday, January 8 and continue weekly from 9:30-12:30 until April 16. The class will fill fast. The cost is $200 with a $100 completion refund issued upon graduation.
