Kuna-Mora Rd Trash Pick Up

REGISTER HERE

Join Golden Eagle Audubon Society as we celebrate National Public Lands Day by cleaning up a two-mile stretch of Kuna-Mora Road adjacent
to Blacks Creek Bird Reserve.  This year’s event is in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management Boise District Four Rivers Office.  They are generously providing T-shirts to participants, as well as snacks and water.

All supplies will be provided—safety vests, bags and some trash grabbers.  Filled bags will be left on the road shoulder for Ada County Highway District (ACHD) to pick up.

Please wear sunscreen, sturdy shoes and appropriate clothing (it can be windy out there); bring gloves and water and a 5-gallon bucket if
you have one: buckets make the job easier.

Everyone will meet at the Main Blacks Creek Bird Reserve parking lot with the restroom by 9:00 am.

We will work in pre-assigned teams.  Each team will walk and pick up trash on both sides of a clearly marked quarter-mile segment of the road.  We work together facing traffic, first on one side of the road, then the other. There are seven segments.  Please see the map below.

Please be at least 18 years old and able to walk on sometimes-uneven terrain for a half-mile or so.
